FOR MARGARET MASON

Margaret is 47 years old and has been married to Mark for 28 years. Their son, William, is 22. They have been attending the Woodstock church of Christ for many years. Margaret served in the US Navy for 20 years before retiring and becoming employed with Whole Foods.

In May of 2009, Margaret was diagnosed with Myelodisplastic Syndrome, a type of Leukemia. Her only chance of surviving is a bone marrow match. Although there are over 7 million people on the National Marrow Registry, none are a match for Margaret. She is at the top of the waiting list, waiting desperately for that one match to be found.

The testing process takes 6 weeks so time is of the essence! Margaret is one of many people desperately waiting to see if a match is found before the cancer ends her time.
